Nearly Packed and ready to go!

Well, I have my clothes, spacebags and camera equipment ready. The day is fast arriving. I am going to take part in a Roaring 20's rehearsal dinner for Priscilla and Jimmie's wedding. I am going as a flapper. I have a red flapper dress, ridiculously hi-heels (like 2 and 1/2 inches!), a boa, headband complete with feathers, a cigarette holder, long black gloves and fishnet stockings! It will be a hoot and I hope to have pictures to share soon. Looking forward to champagne toasts and dancing with handsome men. More later...

3 weeks and counting

Preparations are now in earnest. I have shopped till I dropped and even bought an ipod! (and downloaded some of my favorite songs) Bought a silky, sexy green dress for the wedding and I look fabulous. Made reservations at the Sheraton in downtown Raleigh for the weekend of Oct. 31-Nov. 3. Using a space bag to fit all the heavy clothes into the suitcase. I am getting so excited I think my friends are going to have to scrape me off the ceiling in order to take me to the airport. Catch you later.

Only 6 more weeks!

The days are flying by.So, it is time to go shopping! I need jeans and sweaters, socks and a scarf. I received my itinerary from the great north and it seems they want us to bring thermal underwear. I mean, who looks sexy in thermals? And after all, it is only November 3rd. Shouldn't be colder than 20, right? Of course, I may think differently once I get there and freeze my tush off! I have a room mate for the hotel in Winnipeg. Her name is Liz and she is a world traveler. I can't wait to meet her! Well, that is it for now.

Ecstatic!

Well, I still have a couple of months before the big day! I have wanted to see these polar bears ever since I was kid. I am psyched about going to Churchill, Canada on Nov. 3rd to see these huge behemoths and tell all my friends back home. I have to shop for warm clothes, after all, it is Canada in November! I will be in touch.
